Unlike school, summer doesn’t mean a break for your career. As out-of-office notifications fill your inbox, it’s the perfect time to work on your personal growth as a leader. That’s why we’ve put together a few ideas.
So, if you’re an Enlightened Leader, Summer is the perfect time to…
1) Read, Listen and Learn
Take time during the summer season to grow your knowledge and learn new ways to make you and your team better. There are endless amounts of resources to do so. Whether you prefer to listen on the go or take a seat and read for a while, taking the time to learn new things and grow is important. Check out just a few places you can do this below:
2) Reassess your Goals
With half of the year left to go, Summer is the perfect time to reassess your goals personally and for the business. Take the time to reflect and acknowledge what you have done so far this year. Be proud of your accomplishments and learn from the times things may have not gone as planned. Make realistic and actionable goals that you feel will move you forward as a leader. This will also allow you to take the steps toward growing your business as well. And as always, CEO Think Tank® is here to help!
3) Team Build and have Fun
Having a strong team is an important part of having a successful business. While the weather is nice and everyone is craving a break, enjoy some time with the team outside of the office. Whether you can plan a retreat or just a team dinner, a few hours can make a world of difference.
4) Take care of your Self
While summer is not one big break, it is still the perfect time to take some much-needed rest. As leaders, we carry a lot of weight throughout the year. This can lead to stress and burnout, which is the last thing you would want. Take a few days to get out of the office and do something you enjoy. Whether you need some alone time to recharge or some much-needed family time, you will thank yourself down the road for the break. And so will your team and family!
